Steve started in the auction business immediately out of high
school in 1969 with one of the community's best known auction
teams, "Sackman and Bertelson". In 1977, Steve started on his
own, selling for several livestock auction barns and also for
private auctions.
In 1981, Steve was crowned the Reserve Champion (Eastern Region)
at the 18th Annual World Livestock Auctioneer Championship held
in the St. Paul Union Stockyards in the South St. Paul,
Minnesota.
In 1982, Steve obtained his Illinois Real Estate Brokers
license. Since then, Steve has been selling both privately and
at auction some of the largest tracts of farmlands to be sold in
the Midwest. In 1994, Steve began selling at the Greater Quad
City Auto Auction, which has sales twice a week.
Steve has specialized in serving the farming community of the
Midwest, selling land and farm machinery. Steve and his
associates can do it all - from advertising to the final
settlement. We will put forth the utmost effort to make your
